Target reduction

Interventions specified through the HIIC generate health gain through reductions in incidence rate, morbidity rate, or case-fatality rate. The target reduction parameter determines the magnitude of reduction to be imposed upon the selected target metric.

Example
For a given disease, selecting incidence rate as the target metric and setting target reduction to 2.5% implies an intervention that generates a 2.5% reduction in disease incidence rate.
